

FULL BIO - MARY ELLEN KELLY
​
Mary Ellen Kelly is credentialed as a registered dietitian (RD) and board-certified sports dietitian (CSSD). She holds a bachelor’s of science in nutrition from Boston University, where she was a 4-year member of the NCAA Division 1 varsity women’s track and field team. She earned her master’s degree in clinical nutrition from New York University and completed her clinical training at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (JJPVA) in Bronx, New York.
Mary Ellen is currently the MLB Dietitian for the Boston Red Sox after 3 seasons with the 2024 WNBA Champions- the NY Liberty. She is Adjunct Faculty for Boston University and has previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Bloomsburg University and online Adjunct Faculty at Drexel University. In 2014 she was hired into a full-time team dietitian role in the National Football League (NFL) with the Miami Dolphins and worked with them for over three years. Mary Ellen was the Head Sports Nutritionist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and prior to UNC, she served as the Campus Dietitian/Sports Nutritionist at St. John’s University in Queens, NY. She began her career as a staff dietitian at the JJPVA. She was the Manager of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA) Sports Nutrition Immersion Program (SNIP) fellowship for 7 years.

In 2018 Mary Ellen Kelly founded Fuel Forward, private practice and nutrition consulting business offering nutrition-related speaking, writing, consulting, and coaching for groups and individuals. Current or former clients include but are not limited to: Baylor University, Bloomsburg University, Boston College Varsity Women’s Lacrosse and Field Hockey, Boston University, Golf Mind & Body, LaSalle University, New York Liberty (WNBA), North Coast Seafood, Trimsarter.com, University of Delaware, USA Lacrosse.

​Kristin Pirigyi is credentialed as a registered dietitian (RD). She earned a bachelor’s of science and master’s degree in nutrition from North Carolina Central University and completed her clinical training at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. FULL BIO- KAILAH MURPHY
​
Kailah Murphy is a credentialed Registered Dietitian (RD) and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nutrition Science from Boston University, and completed her dietetic internship at Good Samaritan Medical Center, UMass Health Alliance, St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, and the Walden GOALS Program.
As the Director of Football Nutrition at Boston College, she oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive nutrition strategies to enhance athlete performance, recovery, and overall well-being. Her role includes team nutrition programming, individual counseling, group education, medical nutrition therapy, clinical data analysis, collaboration on intradisciplinary treatment plans, nutrition operations, and food service management. Additionally, she is a lecturer at Boston University, teaching Sports Nutrition.
Before joining Boston College, Kailah served as the Associate Director of Sports Nutrition at the University of Virginia, supporting Olympic teams including Track & Field, Cross Country, Swim and Dive, Women's Field Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Soccer, and Football. Prior to her role at UVA, she was the Lead Dietitian at the GOALS Program within Walden Behavioral Care, specializing in eating disorder treatment for athletes.

FULL BIO- AMANDA FELDMAN
​
Amanda Feldman is a credentialed registered dietitian (RD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She earned both a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in nutrition from Boston University and completed her dietetic internship at UMass Health Alliance, Florida State University and Spaulding Rehabilitation.
Through Fuel Forward, Amanda sees clients 1:1 for nutrition counseling, and also participates in speaking engagements at schools throughout New England. In addition to her work with Fuel Forward, she works as the team sports dietitian for the Boston Fleet - Professional Women's Hockey league team, coaches high school cross country and softball, teaches nutrition at a local high school, teaches an Intro to Nutrition course in the summer at Boston University, and serves as a clinical inpatient dietitian at Umass Health Alliance Hospital.
During her training, Amanda worked as a diet aide at Walden Behavioral Care and as a sports nutrition intern at both Boston College and Florida State University. She is passionate about educating adolescents and athletes of all ages on how to fuel their bodies to feel their best, reach their goals and maximize performance.
